William was such a sweet baby to photograph!  His mom chose the “Newborn Studio & Family Lifestyle Package” – which involved a shorter newborn studio session, then on a separate day I traveled to their home in Prosper to shoot family lifestyle photos.  It worked out great for their family and William’s father’s work schedule.

A few days before William’s studio session, his mother informed me that his right collar bone was broken due to birth – apparently that is pretty common according to their doctor.  I consulted other newborn photographers and made sure he did not lay on his right side or lay on his belly.  I also changed up the side that I put my studio lighting to accommodate for him laying on his left side.  Everything was worth the outcome!

Mom also had some concerns about a sibling shot – saying his older 2 year old sister, Harper, was a “firecracker” and may be hit or miss.  Well, she was a hit in the studio!  Mom and I worked together to make sure she was comfortable and we got a shot of them together – and look at that smile we got from William!  Having a sibling so close in age to a newborn can be challenging, yet very rewarding!

William’s mom brought along his great grandfather’s baseball and glove as well as an adorable “William” night hat.  I really enjoy when parents bring in heirlooms or other special items to make their photos that much more memorable.

The last few photos in this blog are shot in their home in Prosper and I loved seeing big sis Harper in her element – so comfortable and sweet with her little brother.  I even snuck in a few shots of William using natural light in a brown bowl on their living room floor – and they turned out amazing.

I’m very happy with how this session turned out and that I could provide these priceless memories for this family.
