Colette’s newborn session turned out beautifully!! You can’t go wrong when Mom brings along such a beautiful wedding dress! I really enjoy incorporating memorable heirlooms to make each newborn session that much more unique to parents.

For Colette’s session we included her mom’s wedding dress, a purple floral wreath, a mini quilt her mom sewed, a vintage feel to some set-ups, and lace! Such a great variety of set-ups! I have known this family since my oldest child and Colette’s oldest sibling were babies so I was deeply honored to be able to capture these precious memories for this family.

Colette stayed asleep during the prop shots, then decided to wake up right after. No worries – we tried for a bit to not fully wrap her and see if she’d fall asleep (hence the adorable awake shot of her actually looking at the camera….hard to get often so I was pumped when we got it), but she wanted to be snug as a bug so we followed her cues and wrapped her back up to got a few more adorable shots at the end.
