Landyn Rose was such a joy to photograph her milestone one year old/cake smash session last fall of 2017.  Her session was photographed in the morning at Bonnie Wenk Park in McKinney and it couldn’t have gone any better.  The morning light was so pretty, Landyn was in a great mood, her big brother Beckett was hilarious in the few shots he made an appearance in, and the willow tree at the end where we did her cake smash was the perfect ending.

It’s not often that a one year old can walk as well as Landyn could.  Photographing her walking up and down that bridge was so adorable – especially with that cute tutu bouncing along with every step.  Another thing that I’ve noticed a lot of one year olds don’t have is hair – but she had plenty of it.  I love how you can see just a little bit of curls forming at the ends.

You can catch a few precious moments from her adorable session below.  We actually had originally planned on photographing this session the week before, but due to weather we postponed – I’m so glad we did!

*Little tip: if you’re needing to reschedule a cake smash and you’ve already bought the cake – just stick it in the freezer.  No need to stress about buying or making a new one – sometimes it even tastes better after being in the freezer.
